Tyler Puszkar is a writer, director, producer, and production designer from St. Louis, Missouri. Tyler is the Creative Director at Poplar Institute for Film, helping to grow voices in diverse communities.

From the age of six, he has explored and searched for creative modes of expression through music, photography, and film. His approach is to leave a lasting emotional experience in the films he creates through meticulously growing characters and stories through a blend of music and production design.

Tyler graduated from Webster University with a BA in Film Production in 2020. Here, he created his first nine films, including “The First and Last Thing I Remember”, which has won and been nominated for multiple awards and been selected in over ten festivals. He ultimately hopes to create films that can open people’s perspectives of the world’s most challenging topics.
