About Reaching Freedom
Reaching Freedom is about the formation and history of Dismas House, and it's incredible impact on its residents. With the help of historians, current employees/administrators, as well as several facility residents, Reaching Freedom will help paint a portrait of why Dismas House was, and still is, one of the best and most respected halfway-houses in the country. This documentary will highlight the accomplishments, impact, and a few lessons learned along the way that have helped Dismas House to successfully reform thousands of its residents.
About Dismas House of St. Louis
Successful Second Chances for A Better St. Louis
The mission of Dismas House of St. Louis is to successfully prepare individuals returning from federal incarceration for reentry into the community. Our committed staff encourages clients to develop skills and become instilled with the personal traits required to be welcomed as responsible members of the St. Louis community.

Our primary objective is to properly prepare justice-involved men for their return to a free society where they can live as productive citizens.
